Target Audience: Teacher education faculty in South Carolina universities, colleges, and departments of education, especially those who teach Math and ELA methods. The workshops are appropriate for Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle Level, Special Education, and Secondary program faculty.

As the SC schools prepare to implement the new Common Core State Standards for K-12 education, with full implementation expected Fall 2014, these workshops are designed to prepare higher education faculty so that they can integrate the new standards into their teacher preparation programs. Each of the two full-day sessions will be facilitated by SCDE staff from the Office of School Effectiveness. Boxed lunch will be provided.

Cost:
$20 per faculty participant from SCACTE member institutions *
$35 per faculty participant from non-SCACTE member institutions
* If the institution wishes to join SCACTE, a membership form and payment of dues may be submitted with the workshop registration in order to obtain the membership rates of the workshops.
